Secrecy Design of Indoor Visible Light Communication Network under Downlink NOMA Transmission
In this work, we investigate the transmission sum rate as well as the secrecy
sum rate of indoor visible light communication (VLC) networks for mobile
devices with the power domain non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)
transmission, where multiple legitimate users are equipped with photodiodes
(PDs). We introduce a body blockage model of the legitimate users as well as
the eavesdropper to focus on the case where the communications from
transmitting light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to receiving devices are blocked by
the bodies of receiving users. Furthermore, in order to improve the secrecy
without any knowledge of the channel state information (CSI) of the
eavesdropper, a novel LED arrangement is introduced to reduce the overlapping
area covered by LED units supporting different users. We also propose two LED
operation strategies, called simple and smart LED linking, and evaluate their
performance against the conventional broadcasting in terms of transmission sum
rate and secrecy sum rate. Through computer simulations, the superiority of our

Investigation of Gold Gilding Materials and Techniques Applied in the Murals of Kizil Grottoes, Xinjiang, China
The present work reports the identification of inorganic and organic materials applied in gildings of Kizil Grottoes mural paintings, located in the western part of China. A total of 10 gold gilding samples were collected from caves dated in the fourth–seventh century AD. In this research, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), UV fluorescence microscopy, and pyrolysis gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) analyses were carried out to clarify the mordant materials and the coating materials on the foils. This research reports some new finds of the gilding technique in Kizil grottoes, such as oil and lac resin being used as mordant to provide a binding medium for gold gilding, gold powder probably being used as pigment, and some organic dyes being well preserved under gold foil. These interesting findings not only provide scientific evidence for us to understand the materials and techniques of gold gildings on Kizil Grottoes murals, but also illustrate material trade and technique exchanges along the Silk Road in the past

Effects of Pelleted and Extruded Feed on Growth Performance, Intestinal Histology and Microbiota of Juvenile Red Swamp Crayfish (<i>Procambarus clarkii</i>)
The study was conducted to evaluate the extruded and pelleting feed production on growth performance, intestinal histology and microbiome analysis of juvenile red swamp crayfish, Procambarus clarkii. Crayfish were fed either pelleted or extruded feeds that were made using the same formula. Crayfish fed extruded feed had a lower feed conversion ratio, as well as significantly higher levels of trypsin and amylase (p p > 0.05).
